Erin StathisAbout Erin Stathis, MA, LMHC, NCC

Erin is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Massachusetts and a National Certified Counselor. She holds a Master’s degree in Mental Health and Behavioral Medicine from Boston University School of Medicine. Having completed Level 3 training at the IFS Institute, she has completed the most advanced clinical training the IFS Institute offers. This level is reserved for experienced practitioners who have completed extensive prior coursework and clinical practice. It marks a shift from simply learning techniques to truly honing expert-level skills focusing on deep personal presence, handling highly complex or polarized client systems, and mastering “Self-leadership.”

Her training also includes attendance at the historic conference held by Harvard Medical School and the Cambridge Health Alliance “Meditation and Psychotherapy: Cultivating Compassion and Wisdom,” which featured a special panel discussion with His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. This is an experience she describes as deepening her belief that true healing requires both clinical skill and genuine compassion. Her clinical background includes work with the Boston Public Health Commission and the Boston Medical Center, where she supported clients navigating complex mental health and life circumstances.

Life Wellness Counseling has a foundation in techniques deemed “best practices,” based on scientific evidence and research.  At the same time, recognizing every client is different Erin states, “I will make a plan with you that addresses your needs and concerns.  I develop my treatment plans in equal partnership with each client. Our time will be highly personalized. I may have some expertise in areas about mental health, but you are the expert on YOU.  In recognition and respect of that, we will actively work together as a team moving toward your goals.”
